Our History
IBH participates regularly in spring planting developments on public lands
in Adams, Elmore, Gem, Owyhee and Washington Counties.
IBH participates in yearly spring planting of hawthorne, bitter brush and
other plants on the Andrus Wildlife Management Area (WMA) which benefits its
resident game birds and big game.
IBH plans and carries out other yearly plantings at selected sites on public lands.
Current Programs
Monitoring Programs Affecting Habitat
Idaho Bird Hunters aggressively and professionally monitors federal and state programs affecting wildlife habitat on public lands. IBH works closely with federal and state agencies to represent those interested in game and non-game wildlife and the many outdoor activities in Idaho associated with healthy ecosystems on public lands.
Public Participation
Idaho Bird Hunters supports, encourages and participates in providing federal and state agencies and governing bodies with reasoned analysis of actions affecting Idahoˇ¦s natural resources. Members frequently provide oral and written testimony regarding the management of natural resources and public lands. An IBH member currently serves on a Bureau of Land Management (BLM) resource advisory council.
